Having downloaded it I notice that it is continually checking via 'blue-tooth'.

Presumably this means that my phones battery will need charging more often to accommodate this?

Bit of a pain as at present it only needs charging once every 24 hrs.

If it works RF it’ll be a small price to pay👍🏻

Is it possible to uninstall it, once you have installed it? Most Apps can be Deleted User I think?

They say it can be removed at anytime. I downloaded it yesterday, it can only help.

turn Bluetooth off when not required

I thought the idea was to keep it on at all times🤷🏻‍♂️, I will do that as I can’t trust myself(memory) to turn it on & off with regularity. I’m using it for the reasons it was designed for & that is potential Covid contact alerts.

TG

Having a bit of a read up, it looks as if the two Apps are built on different platforms so therefore I think you would need the England/Wales App as well. They probably have common features but it seems developed by to different companies.

Yes you can remove it.

I've used the we scanner today, the site we've just moved to has the scan code up in reception. I'm trying to make sure I've got the whole thing working, turned on what's needed etc.

TG I just checked out the updated Covid link given by Rowena on the UK sites thread, Gowerton Closure and I see in the details that you should only download the one app for your own part of the UK.

It's worth a read through about the use of QRs etc.

Just downloaded the App and see that you can turn off the scanning and set it to remind you when to switch it back on it like when you are away from home etc. cool
