Neighbourhood Watch - At it's best

At 7.50 pm this evening we had the following email:
Hi All,
Just had a report about 7.30pm from a neighbour and member of NHW that a strange looking male was walking around 'Our Street Name' looking into/at houses in an unusual manner! He's about 5' 10" tall.
Please be aware (maybe lock your doors). Report any more suspicious sitings to me but if you regard it as more serious don't hesitate to phone the police urgently.

and at 8.42 we received the second installment:

I'm really sorry but I think this was my husband. He was looking at various extensions as we're thinking of having one!!
He's very offended as he thinks he's 6 foot!!
I'm laughing but am very pleased that the neighbourhood watch scheme works and I apologise for any concern caused. Thanks for vigilance in the area!!
