We have a significant family celebration coming up and we're looking for a venue which also has caravanning / camping facilites available, as many of our friends & family  are also campers.

Does anyone know of a location with a campsite, suitable for a party for 120-150 guests.  We live in Cheshire, but would be happy to go 1-1.5 hours away from home, eg Shropshire, Derbyshire, Lancashire, North Wales.

Thank you!

Will have a think but don't know of any venues that could cater for your numbers that actually have camping or caravanning facilities on the same site.  There'll be several sites near to venues though.

I don't know when this event is, but before we recently retired from caravanning we used to visit The Millpond caravan and camping site, which is midway between Hereford an Ledbury.

been there dozens of times over the years and would highly recommend it.

It does close for winter tho'.

Have a look at thier website.

You might try any CL and book the entire thing for a weekend? I did for my 0th and it was great. Depends I suppose on the time of year but I suspect a CL wouldn't be averse to a marquis or that type of thing?

We went to a family wedding at Capesthorne Hall (click for link), which has a campsite in the grounds.  We had a wonderful time, the setting in stunning, and the weather was beautiful - after heavy showers in the morning.  I can't imagine what the other caravanners thought when we stepped out of the caravan in our wedding finery - with wellie boots on as the grass was still so wet. The venue is available for parties other than weddings:  this from their website:  Facilities can be hired for corporate occasions:  receptions, dinners, business meetings, conferences, presentations and exhibitions.

Highly recommended and the campsite 'facilities' are housed at the back of the hall in what was obviously servants' quarters.

Is the Fosse Way in Warwickshire too far? Our family used this venue for a wedding recently, a marquee plus glamping accommodation and room for vans in the car park. The restaurant could probably accommodate a large gathering. The farm food was wonderful and they did a breakfast too.. My nephew and wife are on the advert. Smile
