'Lazy' Recycling on site

I cannot believe that over the last few years, the increasing amount of lazy club members who persistently ignore the recycling bins, and place all their recycling along with their rubbish into the general waste bins.

I have witnessed this many times and I loath to say, the main culprits were in the seventies and eighties age group; they cannot blame being poor sighted as they would not be driving and towing. Maybe they are illiterate? or perhaps merely morons?.

My only conclusion is the fact they feel as they may not be on the planet much longer, and it will become someone else's problem in the future, it simply does not matter to them.

I do appreciate these people make up a relatively small percentage of this age group, and I wish not to tar them all with the same brush... but the ones that do it  know who they are... THINK BEFORE YOU DUMP!!!!... rant over.yell

The Physio I'm seeing is emphatic that exercises should be done within the limits of pain and not to do too much.

I can't imagine a healthcare professional suggesting that all issues are down to finding excuses not to do things surprised

Its what a lot of (and i have seen many) when they talk about the exercises they recommend to their patientsundecided

On a CC site last year, warden was just emptying the bins when I went there with my assortment of rubbish. Asked where he would like me to put my waste and he said - just chuck it in any bin, it all gets collected by one truck.

So what is the point?

I do try to sort it, but if something goes in the wrong bin, so what? Hardly the end of the world, is it?

There is some real tosh spouted about this 'green' nonsense.

JV, you must have been unfortunate to meet a lot of Physios with unprofessional attitudes to their jobfrown gladly I've made up for it by meeting similar ones to JSsmile

Sorry to go off topic, but this multi thread problem really does need sorting. Even when you manage to get to this one, currently with 33 posts, as soon as you try and change page you end up on the other thread with only 3.😡

OH Dear so your physios just pandered to their patients, instead of explaining to them the downsides of not doing the exercises that were given to them, what a shame, but of course that would give them plenty of "return "appointments undecided

Steve

I raised it again with Rowena yesterday and I understand it is being discussed next week in order to try and find a solution. Any attempts I have made to hide or remove the duplicates have ended in failure so unfortunately for the time being I am leaving them where they are.

Agree. In my hotel this week, each day I'd  rinse the plastic bottles and wine bottle (note just one) and leave this next to the waste bin. This morning I was just leaving as the maid came in to start her work and put the waste and bottles into one big black bag. Maybe they'll sort it later? smile

On the contrary JV, I compressed 3 vertibrae to the extent walking was uncomfortable. After a series of sessions with a Physio I am now fully mobile again. At no point did any of the Physios become rabid 'drill instructors' bullying me into doing dangerous movements. They were very supportive, knowledgeable & professional. Worth every pennysmile

PS-your cynicism re 'return appts' says more about you than the Physiosfrown

The very profesional Physios that have treated me since 1993 Private as well as NHS  the majority have when speaking to (in general chat)stated the facts , that unless the treatments they advise are followed ,which they say as some think "they do not need" as it seems "they know best" then  extra repeat "consultations" are inevitable.

it is not being a cynic its a fact of life in the real world.
