"Late" delivery of all types of leisure vehicle is not unusual, a lot is down to unrealistic dates given by "salesmen", you could try telling them that if it is not delivered by the date they first advised you of you will cancel the order as they are in breach of contract

Does the company also hire vans? If so perhaps you could get them to supply one FOC for your holiday, as yours is late in arriving. It would be good for future relations with yourself.
Also it does of course depend on what you were told and signed up for. When we purchased our current caravan we were told two dates earliest and latest. It arrived a couple of weeks before the latest but well after the earliest.

I am not qualified to advise on English Law (i assume that the supplying dealer is in England) but as a starting point did the contract specify a delivery date for the vehicle ? It it didn't then it may be that delivery within a reasonable time is implied but interpreting the meaning of "reasonable time" will depend on a whole lot of facts and circumstances. In order to have a clear breach of contract "time must be of the essence" however the Consumer Rights Act may be in play and if it is there may be an implied condition of delivery within 30 days unless otherwise agreed. This may have the effect of putting the onus back on the dealer to show that he is not in breach of contract.
So what I am I saying ? I am saying that it is well worth taking proper legal advice before proceeding to the next step. You may be able to get free advice from the Club worth a phone call to check or from your local CAB or Which if you are a member.
Good luck with this I hope you can resolve it and remember to remain calm and courteous with the dealer because anger does not help to resolve disputes.
