Insurance Company Conditions

I am sure that like me, you are constantly receiving advertising from numerous Insurance companies wanting to sell you Insurance at very low prices.

I’m not sure about you but in respect of Insurance I am not convinced that the cheapest is necessarily always the best.  So I set about responding by setting certain conditions before which I would accept a quote from them.  The conditions were :-

 (a)       That they should guarantee that I would never have to deal with a call centre outside of theUK.

(b)       That in the event of an accident or claim, I would be the final say in who repaired my car.

(c)        That in the event of an accident or claim, only original manufacturers parts would be fitted to my car, including glass.

(d)       That in the event of an accident or claim, only a workshop approved by the manufacturer of my car would be allowed to work on it. (essential to preserve paintwork & other warranties etc ).

Do you know almost none of them could or would give me those guarantees!

Do you know that many so called body shops do not fit original panels to your car and in extreme cases your warranties could be affected.

Price must never be the only consideration, especially when dealing with Insurance companies who are only concerned about getting your repairs done in the cheapest possible fashion to them
