Hi , I have been looking at the club shop pages & have come across the 4GEE WIFI gadgets for when we are on the move. Retailing at £39.99 ...can anyone tell me how easy they are to use . if they are successful most of the time. Is it a good aternate to using club site WIFI. I don't download films at all , but it would be handy to upload pics, internet , facebook etc if it was simple to use ?

I've no idea what these gs mean either!

3G is the third generation of mobile internet capability. 4G the fourth. Each generation allows faster data speeds than its predecessor. If you don't have a smart phone then you are missing out on a lot of very useful, Internet and GPS services. Their inbuilt cameras are pretty useful too.

we both have smart phones with 1 Gb data a month with 3 network.     I also have a Huawei MiFi dongle which is not tied to any network.     For the UK I buy a 6 Gb EE sim that is good for 90 days once activated (Amazon) cost about  £14 to £16  works in most areas as it will switch between the 4G and 3G signal and Internet can be used on both.    i have had good results most sites we have been to.

Whilst it's a broad generalisation club sites often have worst phone signals than CLs. My logic being they are often surrounded by trees or in a dip, whereas CLS are often more exposed.

But to your point I can tether from my phone but I also use an EE osprey wifi box. I got a deal for 50gb/month on 24 month contract for £27/month. I travel for work too so it saves paying for expensive wifi that's often rubbish. EE have a good network so if you can get 3G or above you can easily stream video and a large allowance means you won't run out. EE have sales a few times a year and that's the time to get it. Watch out for black Friday in November.

I prefer a separate box as it can stay in the van running for multiple people even if I go out.
