How’s your eyesight

Have anyone ever been to Specsavers and been told they don’t need new glasses?

Myself and my wife used to go to a small independent optician near where we live. Some time ago we became friends with the partner of the owner of a local Specsavers franchise, and soon started to go there for our eye tests. We went for about 6 years, and 3 eye tests, each time being  told our eyes had got worse and we needed new glasses.

This time we went back to our old optician, although we knew he was more expensive we thought we got a better service, anyhow we had our eyes tested and were told our eyes had hardly changed from the last time we went there eight years ago, and he a look of disbelief when we described out experience at Specsavers.

I know each Specsaver franchise will be slightly different but the business model will be similar and based on volume of sales.

What has been your experience.
