I have just read an article in a Railway Publication where there are plans to build a lorry park near the M20 in Kent with spaces for 3600 vehicles and Eurotunnel even after Brexit expects to be carrying Two million trucks per year by 2020,an increase of over 500,000 more than now,and we think our roads are busy now

As a caravanner I don't recall being charged for using continental roads, nor am I aware that continental caravanners are charged for using ours. If a European truck is charged for delivering in the UK then the UK end user will find that cost passed onto them. If the cost of exporting from the UK in a truck has charges levied then it will increase our export costs and the desirability of UK products. Come along, we're all citizens of the planet - let's live in harmony.

i agree, Jenny, what we need is a common market where we can trade equally with everyone in Europe....

ooops, forgot.....we had one of those......didnt we?....then it all went south....Wink

..We joined a "Common Market" originally, and as for fuel duty the majority of comercial vehicles have huge fuel tanks so rarely need to fill up in the uk
