Went and watched the cubs/scouts on parade.  Our group won the St Georges award for annual achievement

OP, we English do not seem to celebrate our Patron Saints day like the Irish, Scots or Welsh-Tis life.

Thanks OP and happy St Georges Day to you.

As R2B says it doesn't get the same attention as other saints days but then St Patrick's day is mainly an excuse to have more alcohol than usual.laughing

We celebrated St George's Day at Polesworth Abbey with a Civic Service followed by a glass of wine and cakes, and a chat to our Mayor and local MP.  If ever you want cake on a Sunday come to Polesworth Abbey - there's often cake to be had. Unfortunately, we don't get a glass of we every week after the service (but I'm working on it!!! 😂 )

Hope everyone had a good day yesterday.
