The pictures below show a set of draws i rescued from my brothers garage before and after 36hours in my workshop.The original varnish took around 4 hours to sand off the top and sides Sad.The draw fronts were then treated to two coats of chalk finish furniture paint in winter grey and then gently rubbed down with 600 grade wet/dry to give a "shabby chic" effect.The whole item was then treated with wax polish.A new set of crystal glass/brass knobs are on order to complete the job.What was just a store for odds and sods is now in our dineing room Happy.The mirror above the draws is next.
