I think some schemes are still going, but are dependent upon age and circumstances. There are hoops to jump through, paper work is required.

Often the problem with these "Government" offers is that the companies touting for business insist on doing a survey which you often have to pay for. Sometimes the offers are dependent on the recipients claiming some sort of benefits.

I seem to think most of the deals are based on either age/vulnerability or being on some sort of benefit. I investigated Mum and Dad having a new boiler installed a few years ago (to replace one 35+ years old!) I did get them a good deal, purely because they were in mid 80's, and I think cavity wall insulation was mentioned there as well. But they had to put towards the cost of the boiler. That was with British Gas, who did a good job, easy to work with.
