Well you certainly gave me a laugh

I'm getting on fine with them thanks, getting them in usually first time but sometimes not. Taking them out I've found I do better if I don't look in the mirror this was a tip from DIL.

I recently popped in while in town to have a word, as neither pair could I read comfortably, I was fine doing the normal things like shopping and even the laptop, but if I wanted to read a book I found it difficult. 

The optician thought it was a case that the multifocal ones (Iiked them)  weren't working for me in the right eye (dominant one) but they can't adjust the prescription the other pair that I tried the mono vision were ok for reading other than my left eye kept watering, the optician thought it was more to do with the material they are made from (I have dry eye) so she ordered me another pair of mono vision lenses from a differant supplier which she says works better for dry eyes, the mono ones also correct my astigmatisam. Today while in town I collected the new pair, haven't tried them yet but will give them ago tomorrow and report back.

Don't worry about putting them in inside out, one of the women I worked with did that regular, she also put both lenses in the same eye one day

OH is doing fine too he prefers the monovision ones to the multivision he is on the dailies.

Reading smaller print with them in (I have multifocal ones) is akward unless you are in really good light, check out how bright it is in the opticians; I can read the smallest print on the card in there however I don't do as well at home or work where getting bulbs replaced in our computerised lighting is an issue.  I too suffer with dry eyes and have now found a brand that really suits me and I'm sure you will too. I'mm banned from wearing them on flights. I wear mine most of the day but in the evenings when I want more restful lighting I tend to revert to glasses - being short sighted I can enjoy reading and intricate sewing without my glasses.  So easy to pop them on my head whereas if you pop your contact lenses out it can upset people and where do you put them?

Have tried the new lenses today Monovision can read ok with them but not good for anything else as its all blurry and the longer I wear them the more blurry it gets and I'm getting a headache with them, also the left eye is not as comfortable as the right,  no its not inside out  

The only way I can describe is it feels like I'm wearing my reading glasses all the time, so ok for close things useless for anything else Oh well back to the opticians on Thursday for a check so will see what else they can suggest. For what I want them for I personally think the Multivision is the better bet as 90% of the time they were ok, it was just long term reading that was a problem,(when I'm reading a book in bed etc.) fine for shopping seeing labels, reading menus that type of thing even the laptop short term was do able so if they agree I'm happy to give it another go with them, maybe get them in dailies as they are supposed to be better for dry eye and I'm not bothered about wearing them everyday. 

Well at least you gave the monovision lenses a go and now can compare properly.

I tend to wear my lenses for work unless we are experiencing very dry humdiity, and someitmes we do .  Once I'm home and ready to chill I tend to remove them especially if I want to read - I prefer to do that with no aids and glasses on my head are handy if I want to see the TV or look into the distance.

I love the freedom that lenses give me to choose fashion sunglasses, should I desire and when the weather requires them they are so easy to take on or off as necessary.  I'm sure you'll find them great when wearing your helmet on the scooter.
