Has anyone got any experience of the new breed of electric bikes?
I am suffering from severe back pain caused by lower spinal Arthritus. My Doctors say that there is no cure other than increasingly effective pain killers that I am avoiding at the moment as I dont want to take them until absolutely necessary.
The trouble is that I cannot walk much over 200 yards without my lowerback & pelvis going in to a sort of spasm. That in turn means not enough exercise, - so putting on weight. Physio turned down my suggestion of swimming saying that it would put a strain on exactly the wrong place,- my lower spine. She suggested an Electric bike, but they are about £1,700 !! Thought of static exercise bike but again advised that they tend to be set up for muscle toning and development but not light exercise?
