Dumbing Down?

I suppose in a way this is a response to Rowena's very measured response to the thread I started on the General Chat section.

Rowe!  I do accept your very sensible comments and like most people tend to try and avoid comments on Sex, religion and politics on the forum.  The club rightly felt that things were going too far and tried to curb it a bit.  But there is also the danger that in so doing you will go a little too far and stray into the area of overt Censorship!

I personally felt that Bugs was always far too quick to move items even if they only seemed to be on the verge of straying.  Yet overt & mad cap humour funny as it was, was never ever moved to the appropriate section only a few places down.  ( No offence intended Bugs, Fine fellow etc, only obeying orders etc etc )

In my opinion CT is a great bonus to members and the whole point of this post is actually to support it not to harm it.  I think we do need to get our serious thinking caps on and try to help Rowe and her section in not only keeping CT going but better and more flexible than of late.
