Do you care about our piers?

As reported in the news recently our piers are falling into disrepair and some are in danger of being lost to us forever due to the cost of restoration. Apparently the piers that are owned by the council are entitled to a lottery grant but privately owned ones are not. IMHO all piers should be entitled to the same funding as it is the whole local community that benefits from having a pier with the increase of visiting tourists.

We have some lovely piers around our coastline, I must have visited five or six different ones this year and I for one would love to keep them.Cool
