Does anyone else agree that it is the sheer diversity of the membership and people's requirements when they go caravanning / motorhoming that makes the Caravan Club operate reasonably smoothly?

Although I neither smoke nor have a dog, I recognise that it is a conscious choice of smokers to have holiday accommodation where they can smoke, and of dog owners to have holiday accommodation which does not restrict their pets, that encourages many of them to have caravans / motorhomes and belong to the CC. More members means more sites open for more days per year, and economies of scale and therefore lower prices.

It is those people who prefer the ease of erection of awnings on grass pitches that mean I have more chance of picking a hardstanding when I arrive on site.

It is the preference of some people to be entirely self sufficient / private in their caravan / motorhome which means that I have less likelihood of having to join a queue to use the site facilities.
