Dave The Earthworm Record Breaker

I shall be out in the garden tonight looking for big worms

Saw the story on breakfast news this morning. Given the reaction of the presenters when they found out Dave had been euthanized, I'm dreading any bad news stories about illness in the royal family any time soon!

No Dave, it was a giant of an earthworm. The biggest and best of its species ever discovered. You should be beaming with pride! 

That would have fed a family of Blackbirds, why didn't they just leave it to mature fully?
