DAB Radio Interference

Can't solve your problem Admiral, but I'm surprised you get reception problems in Bedfordshire!! 

I have had similar problems & in the end had to return the DAB radio to the store.

Given all the Hype re DABI think that stores should be required to exhibit a "Health Warning" explaining that coverage is still not complete and showing by Post code the less well covered areas.

TF, this problem only occurs when using the Mains Radio in the mornings, it is great at night, (the Radio that is !!) When using the Battery powered Radios they are great morning and night

I thought that the whole point of DAB Radio's was that they were better and had an improved coverage. That simply does not appear to be the case.  In many ways we have gone backwards on what we had before.

The technology is good as long as you can get it.

I take a small solar FM radio on trips and a DAB radio, It's surprisingly hard to get a DAB signal in quite a few parts of the UK. I hate being without a radio, we were up in the Cairngorms last year and couldn't get a signal on anything including phones and TV.

I have a Dab radio in the kitchen, must say it is very tempremental, one minute stations are there, then whoosh, gone, bring back steam radio

My problem has only occured since last week, up until then I have had a perfect signal, no problems on a Battery DAB Radio only on Mains in the morning, perfect at Night

My problem is about progress!  We had a perfectly reasonable system before. Then we are told that the future is digital and that before long, - just like TV  we need to move over to digital in order to receive the radio transmissions. So I dutifully bought a Roberts Clock radio.  At first it didn't want to work very well at all, so I complained.  "Ah the signal is a bit weak where you live, - put up a better aerial"   I did that and its improved and is now useable. But its no where near as good as the 30 year old steam powered radio in the kitchen.

So is that called progress and improvement ???

Another problem that has arisen with DAB is that LED lighting in the vicinity can block the signal especially if it is on the weak side
