For anyone staying locally ( eg Blackmore, Broadway etc), Croome is well worth a visit. National Trust are really going to town on this property. We live locally, and visit fairly regularly. Seems that every time we go they have added something new.

At the moment, the house is covered in scaffolding, while they reroof the formerly derelict Red Wing. There's a cafe right at the top of the scaffold. New bridges over Capability Browns 'river', newly opened RAF museum up at reception, upper floors of the house scheduled to be opened to the public next year.

Dogs allowed on leads in garden areas, allowed to have freedom in surrounding rough grass areas, refreshing change from many NT properties.
