It's good to hear that members of CT are receiving their vaccinations, good luck to all those yet to have theirs. It seems like a long haul till we get everyone sorted and hear the results of the present vaccines.

I'm leaving this open for non political comments as per the guidelines. Hope you can add your own experiences and thoughts.

My first jab comes up tomorrow, I'm so glad we have research institutions that have got us this far! And I am planning breaks away in the hope of improvements on the horizon.

On well, today's the day! Off to get my jab soon.. It's a 40 mile round trip, I will have to visit a filling station for the first time since well before Christmas. So much to remember, what side is the filler cap, what happens when I put the car in 5th gear, etc. Wish me luck folks ( not the jab, got no worries on that score).

Check fuel gauge on car there is normally an arrow? Pointing to filler cap sidewink

How about this for "jumping the queue?" as told to me this morning by a lady who  had hers surprised

On monday? a very large Hospital in Bedfordshire had got though their list for the day and had numerous doses of the phyzer vacine still to use or be destroyed that day, frown

A surgeon sent a text to all her Guild? Members offering them what they had left on a first come basis ,one of which was the lady i met this morningsurprised

All part of the system as I said pages back, not queue jumping.

That seems to be the big problem with the "deep freeze" phyzer vacine and it is also expensive,  compared to the OAZ ,that can be carried over

Not really a problem just different.  No doubt things will move on in time.  Incidentally the OAZ vaccine can only be carried over for a short(ish) period.

It seems to be a problem when once out of the freezer , it cannot be kept compared to the OAZ which can be  kept in a fridge

Gotta say, some of our European friends are being a bit churlish about vaccines....talking down the Astra Zeneca jab, seemingly because the British got their act together in terms of risk, investment, manufacturing, approval and roll-out.

At present the system is working brilliantly but the biggest problem I can see coming down the track is the people at the coal face getting fatigued and fed up.  There seems to be growing numbers of people prepared to criticise how it is working, want to jump the queue, and take out their problems on the people on the frontline.  If the thousands of volunteers walk away the system will slow down or even collapse.
