It's good to hear that members of CT are receiving their vaccinations, good luck to all those yet to have theirs. It seems like a long haul till we get everyone sorted and hear the results of the present vaccines.

I'm leaving this open for non political comments as per the guidelines. Hope you can add your own experiences and thoughts.

My first jab comes up tomorrow, I'm so glad we have research institutions that have got us this far! And I am planning breaks away in the hope of improvements on the horizon.

I was like that but I could feel it later, not too bad though. Glad to hear you've got yours done! smile

If we manage to get away at some point I'll do what we did last year and stock up with food, I don't intend to use any of the large supermarkets when away (I rarely do) and will just use small local shops if needed. Our community shop is a bit of a pain to use, queuing up outside in miserable weather but they have stuck to two people only for shopping and one for the PO (separate areas.)

JillwithaJay - having seen that report from Blackburn Cathedral I sympathise with you, you must have been frozen to the bone.  Hopefully it'll be a nice sunny day when you have to go back for the 2nd one at the end of April.

TG - yes, I was very pleased to get it, OH had it 10 days ago, being over 70; he did ask when he was there whether I could get mine at the same time, but the answer was "no"; that seems to vary as well, I've heard of a few people whose partner/spouse has been vaccinated at the same time.

WN - I'm very pleased that you were able to get the vaccine, after all that uncertainty; so both our 2nd ones are on the 2nd of May.  And who knows, you may have resolved your dispute with SP by then as well wink

At least it'll be lighter and, hopefully, a tad warmer.  All being well we come back from a week in the caravan the morning of our second jab.

So now both had our jab this morning at the Royal Cornwall Showground.

Whilst there were not crowds there the set up was very organised and efficient, got a card with the details on of this and second jab plus a sticker-"to show your friends"!

Managed an average of 8 jabs per hours today over a short shift.  A minute amount in the grand scheme but every little helps.  Apologies to Tesco laughing.

After my jab yesterday I made a stove top chicken casserole. Fell asleep for nearly an hour and returned to the kitchen just in time to stop it catching. Developed a headache later in the day. Went to bed at 9pm and slept for 12.5 hours until 9.30 this morning. I could happily return to bed laughing

I'm not sure how they are managing that.  A few police have tried here but have been turned away unless they meet the overall criteria.
