Guilty as charged laughing

Around August I wen to Ada and having left mask in car went into foyer and bough a pack. I have forgotten to take mask out of pocket and wear about 3 weeks ago. Man on the door reminded me.

OH did the same the other day, now need a mask in every pocket, bag or whatever just in case.

I'm sure you're right JVB, mask wearing has suddenly become more serious, I see your area has "rocketing" infections. Stay safe.

I have to attend hospital in a couple of weeks and the appointment specifically says " Upon arrival, all visitors will now be provided with a face mask to wear and will be expected to comply by wearing it for the duration of their visit ". Maybe patients have been turning up with face coverings which have not been suitable for minimising spread of the virus.

When in the waiting area on ground floor ,it is near the electric entrance doors at our hospital  ,and my letter advises masks must be worn when attending

That’s interesting, I didn’t know that. I thought it would be cost restricted but not soπŸ‘πŸ». It could be the way forward for sureπŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ», I’d pay a premium for fresher food.

I do wish folk would stop and think before rushing in with irrelevant replies to other's posts.

Alan - (a) we are not in Wales and (b) presumably when you were supporting your father in law it was well before the current pandemic.

Just to clarify my earlier post!

The lady in question already has a "support bubble" at home (silly me, not giving full details with my original post! frown)  so will be going to a different one, therefore not exclusive, and even if not going to a different tier will be travelling outside her local area (as defined by the government's tier 2 regulations) and staying for several nights before returning home.

To be clear my post was one of surprise that an 87 year old, dependent on others collecting prescriptions for her, should be considering travelling in the present circumstances, not a post of condemnation.

Hope that helps with understanding my original post. undecided

In this case I do blame other countries, for not checking if they have virus mutations too and for thinking lorry drivers should be used to prevent the spread. There are queues on the other side of the channel too. No joined up thinking at all from the EU. The UK is a leader in research regarding the patterns of mutation, along with Sweden (I think?.) So I hope someone appreciates our efforts to confront the virus rather than use lorry drivers as a prevention method. I hope we get news about prevention generally, did I hear there'll be a further announcement on the 26th?

I agree with you TDA about the lack of cooperation at home but also elsewhere. frown
