Bye, Bye, Shane

I'm sad to see that the September mag contains Shane Barratt's final article.  A great shame as, to my mind, his page has been the best thing in the mag.  I do wonder if Shane contributes to this forum as one paragraph of his final article sums things up brilliantly.  He says:

"I may not be a master of it, but humour - primarily an ability to take a joke at one's expense - is an essential attribute if you are going to go caravanning, motorhoming or trailer tenting.  Some of the funniest people I've ever known are friends I've made through this game but, let's be honest, sometimes the laughs do get a bit lost amid all those moaning letters about dogs and children and mean-spirited tut-tutting about anything that doesn't fit in with certain people's views of how to relax in the countryside."

Well said, that man.  Very astute.  I shall miss your articles, Shane.
