Has anyone visited?

Is it a good day out?

Hoping to go there while on one of our trips this year.

I had hoped to find it in the 'Great Days Out' guide, but either it isn't included or the search facility doesn't work too well.

Never been Ian. A two friends that did whilst having a few days away were very impressed in as much as they found it extremely interesting.

This extract from a review on tripadvisor amused me - 'Bletchley Park is a decent attraction, but just needs a bit more of a modern update as parts were very old and out dated'

Never been but i would certainly visit if i was anywhere near at the time. When one of my old bosses died a few years back i only found out from his obituary that he was posted there dureing WW2.I would imagine its a facinating place.

Hi Ian

We have visited Bletchley Park, and I found parts of it really interesting, although some of the rooms that were just set out as offices not so much, it's a pretty big site and we spent almost a whole day there. The tickets were valid for 12 months so can be used for a second visit.

When we were there they had displays from the film, and the bar area set out as it had been during filming. You can have a go at code breaking and the guides were very good.

Not seen any offers in the CC days out guide, although they offer 2 for one entry tickets if you use the train, the station is opposite.

We seem to have a duplicate thread going! Don't you just love this site?

Thank you all, I think we will give it a try.

Just read a book about Alan Turing. Fascinating. Although I enjoyed "The Imitation Game" it misses out a massive amount of his life.....and his death, and his 'suicide' being very questionable.
