Belt or Braces ?

I've always held my trousers up with a belt. However, as age and expanding girth have crept up on me, I find myself having to constantly hitch up my trousers when out for a walk. A pain when wearing several layers on the top half.

A partial solution was found, in trousers with elasticated waist bands, such as Craghoppers Kiwi trousers. Elastic belts also helped.

But I have now given in, and bought several sets of clip on braces (suspenders in Americanese). OK, they look ridiculous, but hidden under a zipped up walking jacket no one is any the wiser.

Getting the tension correct is important, to avaoid getting a 'wedgie', once adjusted the comfort and security is brilliant.

Am I alone in this ?

ABM, the drop crutch thing is now uncool. It became uncool when their Mums stopped them doing it. if cool means frightening then Mums are sooooo coolLaughing
