Be prepared or fail 😲

Just reading the New Zealand news, as i usually do once a day, and wonder if I'm the only one amazed reading this article. You couldn't make it up, surely you know the date and time of the test so why not fill the vehicle with fuel? Almost like going out to a posh do without dressing the part 😲😲.

Reading the article it would appear that tester was wrong, however it was certainly silly of the driver not to ensure that the tank was at least half full to be sure that had sufficient fuel.

The examiner should have asked him what the significance of the warning light was.  If he explained that it meant he had about 100km of range left, then he should have gained brownie points.

Oh well - nice to see thickos are everywhere. I have yet to hear of a driving test that covers more than 5 miles approx.

Perhaps he was doing like me, running it down to get maximum 12p's off a litre in at Sainsburys, or the NZ equivalent, I will make sure I don't go too low though.😂

Don't  be  too  hard  on  the  poor  lad,  after  all  it  was  his father's  car  wasn't  it.

Petrol is very cheap, well to us from here, about the same in NZ $ as £ so ith the exchange rate hoovering around 1.8 to 1.95 that' about half price 😲. Pak'n'Save generally have 6c off a litre with a $1 spend, never seen it not on in last few years.

I agree about the mileage but it says a lot about the lad and the parents in the way of preparing for journey's or test. The death toll on their roads is near the worse in the world, 116 just before Easter, very sad 😢
