Just visited that local DIY garden centre. They have Artificial Grass seed on special offer, £1.99 per kilo. Best offer I've seen around.
I've got some bald patches on my lawn but the packet says best before 1st April. Does it really matter that it's sown to the day I wonder?

I found the best way to sow these seeds is to start them off in seed trays on the window sill. When big enough to handle (about 2") transplant the grass plants to their final posistion.

Cover with a poly tunnel and keep well watered.
