I ordered a mifi device from Amazon last night and decided to take advantage of their 30 day free trial of Prime.

The device is suposed to arrive today - pretty good!

Also watched a film on Prime ("Live, Die, Repeat: Edge of Tomorrow" with Tom Cruise) - also pretty good.

Will have to have a proper look at what else they offer.

You can cancel before the 30 days is up, so costs you nothing. Recommended (so far!)

Do you have to pay for the music?

Not if you subscribe to Prime, but like their films the range is limited compared to full time subscription services. We've been Prime subscribers for several years, not so much for the postage savings - which if you buy on line a lot, will save money, but rather more for their next day delivery service.

our annual fee paid by parent bank has saved the extended family pounds in postage-not sure we anticipated that when we took out free introductory offer years ago!

But £10/month is £120/year.....every year.......even when you don't use it much.

However, if you need a phone for calls / texts anyway,  it is still a good deal, even if you don't use the Internet allowance every month. As redface says there are even better deals available from BT occasionally. My son just haggled unlimited data for about £10. We managed unlimited calls on ours, rather than the 500 mins. BT use EE, so coverage is reasonable and often seems to fill the gaps missed by 3.

We have been using Prime for about a year and it has been useful for the price £79 pa. because;

Films are ok not (OK) mainly older titles, quite a few children's films,  (from grand parents perspective). BUT some very weird TV series (Anyone following The Preacher ?)

Free Kindle library, books on loan for a month, also family members can borrow books.

Music, never tried it, nor the Amazon Cloud.

Most useful thing is knowing when deliveries are due, so not having to wait around.  We use Amazon quite a lot, mainly to stop our credit card details being on used ondiffering sites whereonce only purchases are made.

probably used the annual fee in delivery charges.

Rgds

Oh forgot  Top Gear might appear soon !!
