Almost 15 minutes of fame

Did you watch The Farmers' Country Showdown yesterday? 3.45 on BBC One? If not, why not watch on Iplayer (click LINK).

If you can bear to skim through 35 minutes of Alpacas (cute, but what a complicated way of judging!), you'll come to the history bit - i.e. our family.

Watch the programme for some old and not so old images of us.

I'm afraid to say I'm the one in the middle  - next to the 75 year old farmer! That was one mistake we picked up on - he's only 69!

Edit - on the programme, not on the photos I posted.

Thanks Goldie, I'd bookmarked the programme and just looked at it this morning, I enjoyed seeing the farm and your family. Nice to see the generations together and your "girls" are very photogenic too. smile

I skipped some of the Alpaca bit but I do like their wool, I've got a thirty year old Alpaca jumper I knitted and it's as good as new. Trouble is I can't get into it now!

My gt grandfather used to visit a farm in Westmorland, one of my favourite photos is a picture of him with three farm dogs and none of us know where the farm is! So it was lovely seeing your farm.

I will have to watch this later. I'm also a fan of Alpaca wool. Sam has a lovely Alpaca jacket that I bought at the South of England show.

Looking forward to watching your 15 minutes of fame. smile

Hopefully I'll be able to watch it on catch up as we're away in the caravan at the moment so we're not watching much telly.  I'm sure it was a really good experience.
