I read that this Adblue additive has become a valuable tool in the fight against air pollution from Trucks. What a shock when I did a bit of research. It is 2/3rds water & 1/3rd urea, that's Urine in my book. Yet it actually more than pays for itself in increased MPG. I wonder how long before the Car will be using it. We're saving the Planet with Water & Wee. . . .Who'd have thought it, darned clever.

doesn't make you get more mpg or everyone would use it. it is corrosive to many metals and the fumes can be dangerous to humans. it is a cheap fix that manufacturers are using to beat the emissions law. our hgv drivers used to call it pig p?ss.

Poppy, take a look in the Solos section further up the forum front page. You’ll find several like minded people there.

My VW Touareg, which is coming up to 3 years old, uses AdBlue, so it's been around in cars for some time now. I've just paid £11 for 10 litres to top up the tank which I need to do once or twice a year, since I only do 10-12k miles per year. When I first got the car, I thought having to fill it up was going to be a nuisance but I hardly think about it now.
