A sad state of affairs

There is a story in today's paper about a couple who have just managed to arrive in Lyon successfully, to watch Wales play. Unremarkable, except for the fact when they tried to watch them in  Lille last month, they ended up in Lille Belgium. Now I must confess I had to check where in Belgium it was, and found it 160 km away from Lille in France, just east of Antwerp. Apparently they followed their sat nav.

Anyway, at the end of the day, why didn't they follow the road signs.  As Lille is a city, there are plenty of signs in the northern France areaUndecided
