A place to mention heroes

And Heroines of course as well. Came across this lovely story today, and thought it might make a good opening post for a place to add interesting people who are unselfish and generous, and deserve thanks and praise.

I love Harris Tweed, in fact we bought a Harris Tweed covered sofa and wing chair earlier in year, which we love. Goes with the stove and The Labradors😁

What a super thing to do. There are some lovely folks in this world. Let's hope it continues to thrive.

Sadly so many business fall prey to asset strippers with scant regard for employees, customers or the local community. BHS and Philip Green springs to mind as an example. Going back further you had Rupert Muckswill until he jumped/fell off his yacht.

I would have been more sympathetic if the business had been given to the workers and held in trust. Handing over the business to one person solves nothing.
