A much needed break....

I've noticed that people have started to use the expression "a much needed break" more and more nowadays. It get's applied as a general term, in place of "break" or "weekend away".

Now, I can understand that if someone is getting over an illness or tragedy, this expression might well apply, but not for every time you go off in the van, surely?!

Another one is when people talk about their "stressful job in the city".......often used in conjunction with the phrase above. Call me old fashioned, but working at a desk is never going to be as stressful as digging coal in a narrow mine shaft......or a multitude of other such jobs. And I say this as someone who mostly worked at a desk.

Any other over-used phrases?
