A fond goodbye to caravanning

Earlier this year my wife and I thought very seriously about finishing caravanning. We weighed up the cost of firstly insurance , the cost of wintering the van, the cost of today's pitches, the cost of fuel to pull the van , and also how many times we used the van . Our age and our family commitments were another factor.  We made a few enquires and researched some Hotel breaks ( with meals) in areas where we normally caravan and found  it more reasonable than the above costing. We then advertised our van and almost immediately sold it. So it's a fond farewell to caravanning ......For the time being at least.
