"We can only be ourselves as everyone else is taken" by Oscar Wilde is one of my favourite quotes.  Does anyone else have one they favour?

coo, get you lot showing off your education seriously though it's surprising how you think you've forgotten it all but bits keep coming back.

Ah well, nil desperandum, .........

My Guilty Confession –  I don’t really know any Latin EmbarassedSad I just look it up on 'tin-ter-net' Innocent Smile and I have my suspicions, others do the same!!! Wink Undecided.

As for: nil desperandum, my Grandfather’s free translation was: "never lads give way to sorrow" Happy

Hamlet Act 1, scene 3, 75-77

For loan oft loses both itself and friend,
And borrowing dulls the edge of husbandry.

The phrase “Nil Desperandum Auspice Deo”.
Roughly translated to mean: “Don't Despair, Trust in God”.
Is the motto of the 'City of Sunderland'.

Not to mention their Long Suffering football supporters. Sad
