A quick search of discussions shows up that a few of you have these.

I bought one the other day as I'm a bit cheffy at times and I don't find my caravan gas hob especially controllable or responsive.  It's ok if you need to boil something but simmering isn't that easy and it takes a wee while for the flame to respond to the setting I choose.

I've always had gas hobs and always thought electric was less responsive but I'm blown away by this thing.  At full heat and power water boiled a good few minutes quicker than a 3kw kettle.  It uses 2kw at this setting.  Even at reduced power using 1kw it was still quicker than the kettle and simmering was immediate and controllable.

I'd definitely recommend one
