Yes, first time some 45 years ago in Switzerland. Had one given to us in the 80s found raclette cheese difficult to find then although the smell told you when the shop had it in mnd! I love it!

We had one. Not sure what happened to it, may have given it to one of our sons. When they were younger they used to love it. Inventing different concoctions. One of their  favorites was banana with goats, or blue cheese.

We have a Raclette grill which we use occasionally.  The trouble is that it doesn't quite fit in with Carol's Slimming World diet.  We're not fussy about the sort of cheese we use - I quite likeen a good mature cheddar.

We have one, and invite friends round regularly to share.  As David (above) says, it's high calorie stuff by the time you've added marinades, and cheese, and stuff, and all too easy to eat too much as you fill tray after tray!  Generally we try to griddle lots of vegetables and only small pieces of a variety of different meats, and use only small pieces of the Raclette cheese (we also buy it from Lidl and it keeps well in the freezer) so that at least we can fill up on the veggy bits!

We have one in France, too, and have shared some good evenings out on the terrace on a cool evening sitting around the raclette, cooking into the early hours.

Whenever we go to La Columbiere at Neydens, France (near Geneva), Mr Bussat usually runs a Raclette evening once a week during the main season - we always go to it.  A great social occasion.
