Escalating costs of dining out!!!

My wife and I celebrated our 16th wedding anniversary last Friday, and thought we would mark the occassion with a nice meal somewhere.  After much deliberation, we opted for a restaurant called 1861 near Abergavenny in South Wales.

I have to say that the food was excellent, small portions, but delicious.  But I was somewhat taken aback with the final bill.  We had 3 courses each, and a total of 2 large and 1 small glass of wine, and our bill came to £111!!!

Now we don't dine out very often, but is it me, or have prices for dining out gone through the roof?  I don't think I am tight, but i struggled to justify the cost even for a special occassion.  Does anyone else think this is excessively expensive, or is it just because I don't get out much?
