I was chatting online to a friend in the US and she was telling me they used to BBQ extra food and freeze it.  I had never thought of it - and wondered if anyone else does and are there any tips.  Typically its only stews and soups etc that I freeze - but making use of the hot charcoal BBQ for making extra appeals as long as it is worth eating!  I have a BBQd chicken in the fridge at the moment - but it was an experiment in the new BBQ and somewhat overcooked - I think the dogs are going to enjoy some of that!

Write your comments here...we do it all the time pippah. Its lovely to have that smokey food when its thawed. Funnily enough, i have a bbq chicken in the fridge right now - done in the Weber and to a turn - delicious!

IF we have anything left, chill as quickly as possible. wouldnt save anything that wasnt thoroughly cooked. Chef son says chill as fast as possible and wrap well
