Charity recipe book -Dilemma

Hi All.

I'm thinking of putting together a recipe book with a theme of bbq and single pan cookery. My wife has built up a large selection over the years from magazines etc.

I have a daughter who is a graphic designer who would put it together free of charge.

Now for the dilemma,  would it have to be a printed book as opposed to a download to encourage people to buy?

Would appreciate your thoughts.

Proceeds will go to cancer charities as my daughter in law has just gone through treatment for breast cancer at the age of 32.

Many thanks

David

Locally, our villages have produced a few of these, always in a type of book form or folder. The cost has to come out of the sale price. Someone usually donates illustrations or cover photos etc.so it's great if you have a graphic designer in the family!

It's a lovely idea especially with someone close to you involved. Good luck, hope it goes well. smile

I seem to remember a thread some years back that shared 'caravan' recipes. Another was dedicated to sandwiches and one to BBQ recipes. Might be worth looking back at those.

Which is the best way to raise funds for a charity? Using the web or producing a paper version of recipes ( already collected) ?

Brue, that's my dilemma really,  I think a printed version would be a benefit.  Especially when people are travelling.

Being an avid collector of recipes I can't give you a definitive answer as I collect using both formats. Whatever you choose I wish you luck.
