No real need. It will generally log you out after a period of inactivity. The counter, which sometimes shows hours, sometimes days and hours, will still count down wether you are logged in or not. When you purchase the CAMC WiFi it is for a day, week or year from the time you complete the transaction.
You will need to log out if you want to log on with another device, as only one is permitted at a time.

You've lost me derekcyril. Yes there are ways that you can share the log in. However, you are also sharing your allocation of the bandwidth and speeds could be very low.
As to use a lot of hours, you have purchased a period of time that decreases wether you use it or not. Therefore if you have bought a year, a year is what you get, starting from the date of purchase.

How do you log out? I have looked for a logout screen, no success. I have turned off WiFi. I have even powered off my iPad. Whenever I try to log in on my wife’s iPad or my phone, I get an error message.
it starts off “fatal error.....”.
on my wife’s iPad it tries to log her in under her own name, because she has her own WiFi account (empty) dating back to the time I forgot mine.
so, how do you log out?

Jammy, you can get the logout screen up by typing logout.net into your browser.
As far as your wife logging on she needs to enter the email address and password from your login, Into the login screen. If it comes up autofilled with her old details just delete them and type in yours. It should then ask if you want to update the autofill details and overwrite the old ones.
Sometimes the login screen does not come up. In that case typing logout.net into your browser, will perversely also bring up the option to log on.
