Last night's programe live from the Royal Shakespeare Theatre, marking the 400th anniversary of Shakespeare's death was, we thought, excellent! Almost worth the whole years licence fee. We couldn't fault it, very varied themes of Shakespeare. Surprisingly Al Murray played an excellent Bottom, even if only for a short while. Then Dame Judi, of course. Followed by Helen Mirran and even Prince Charles! If you didn't see it, worth watching on catchup. Well done the RSC

I thought it was a bit of a mish mash and would have switched it off after the awful introduction but Mrs B wanted to persevere and I`m glad we did because some of it was very good. Catch-up would be the best way to watch it, just fast forward through the toe-curling parts.

Bit of an advert but look out for the Bristol Old Vic touring with Midsummer Nights Dream, they are playing at lots of smaller venues.Smile

We're booked to see Midsummer Night's Dream in Stratford upon Avon in June......looking forward to it.
