I can't imagine it bothering students too much Roobz, they live in digs far away from Home with a bunch of fellow students, I doubt the TV lic will be high up on their priority listLaughingLaughing. I reckon it's a hollow threat from the BBC in the hope of increasing revenue.

Agree it won't but what I seen on the news it looks like when you go on the BBC iplayer app you get a warning and  must enter a t v licience  number so if your accomandation has a t v licience your o k , but yes BBC have found another way of raising funds

GeezSurprised, they really are serious about it, I have such a crappy B/band speed any streaming is just a 'buffering' exerciseSad, I doubt I'll need to use it. I predict a lot of upset studentsLaughing

There's no number needed, Roobz. You just have to click on a box to confirm you either have a licence or you don't.

Yeah, I know, it's foolproof is that.Laughing

The beeb can do what they like it wont make any difference. It still wont make some people buy a licence and besides it will be almost impossible to police the situation and probably cost a lot more than it will ever raise. The BBC is an over bloated organisation and should stand on its own two feet.

If they didn't pay their presenters/personalities silly amounts of salary, they might find their budget went a little further. They are getting like these overpaid footballers/Footsie 100 bosses( select scapegoat to taste)
