Top Gear

Well at least you gave it 20 minutes more than I did, Ian! 

We have recorded it ,  myself or hubby can't stand Chris evens but will have a look but not expecting much.  We much prefer the original three even though we know clarkson has many who don't like him, but we are looking forward to Autumn for the original 3 in there new show 

will pop back with our verdict thumbs up / down when we have watched it but IanH from what you have said its what we were expecting 

I wacthed the whole thing. I think I'd prefer a re-run of the caravanner of the year show!!

Seems to me that you may like watching paint dry TB

I haven't watched either COTY or Top Gear, judging by the comments on both, I feel that I made a good choice

20mins i managed 8!!. you did really well. Evans is purely awful and the program was cringeworthy at the best.

I loved the old topgear, the bbc should have just let it die with the boys.

It could have been worse. I'll give it another chance as any new set-up takes time to bed in. The repartee does seem to lack the apparent spontaneity of the previous trio. Sabine Schmit is always easy on the eye though.

I must admit that Mat LeBlanc was pretty good and Sabine Schmit trying to remember the 'Top Gun' lines was quite funny.

With the budget available, why didn't they just make something completely new and different? Trying to copy an old, succesful format was never going to work. Especially with Chris Evans fronting it.

I thought that I would give it a try. Although I cannot stand Chris Evans.  It was so boring I fell asleep after about 15 minutes, and woke up near the end of the program. What I did see of it I was not impressed, will I be watching another episode absolutely not.

Had a look for a few minutes - it was uninspiring. They were trying to follow the format of Clarkson and his two mates but failed miserably. With the huge budget available. I would have thought that they could have tried something new --- NO

The viewing figures even after all the pre programme hype were -----Dismal.

Clarkson,May and Hammond had -------Top Gear.

Evans etc have.  ------- Flop Gear.

I would agree with the sentiments above, bring back Clarkson. If the future of the new programme is based on viewing figures, I fear it is not long for this world.
