thought this looked quite promising, provided that it doesnt start to tie itself in knots, which is what spoils a lot of 'thrillers' these days.....

Yes, it's certainly keeping up the pace and sixpence. An example of just how good theBBC can be when it puts its mind to it.

BTW, talking of James Bond, I read somewhere the other day that Tom Hiddlestone's name has been added to the list of possible successors to Daniel Craig; he does seem to be "shaping up" nicely for the role ( or so Mrs M tells me!)

Gripping, in more ways then one.   Apart from Tom Hiddlebottom, oh sorry I mean Hiddleston (blame that slip on Sunday night), Tom Hollander is brilliant as Corkey and Olivia Coleman gives another great performance.  And who would have thought that Hugh Laurie could deliver a very believable menacing villian.  Great sunday night viewing.

Happy Valley must now rate as the worst production for sound and dialogue quality. A series I wanted to enjoy but with slight hearing loss meant I may have heard about 10% of dialogue.

What are other members thoughts?

We are away until 1st April, and no TV in the van as when we are away our time is spent enjoying the outdoors and lots of reading in the evenings listening to Radio 4.  Will have to catch up with The Night Manager on iplayer when we get back, so please, pretty please,  no spoilers, lol.
