Opera

We spent a lovely evening at Leeds Castle Open Air Concert last night (Maidstone/ Bearsted site). London Philharmonic played wonderful, patriotic stirring stuff and there wasn't a dry eye in the house when the old Spitfires flew over time and time again. Fabulous.  One thing that bored me so stupid that I had to pour myself another Chardonnay was the Opera. I get beautiful Arias sung with beautiful voices (Mozart & Women especially) but what is the attraction with Opera? I am the same with 'shows' . I know tastes vary but I just cannot get this Opera thing. For the record I was brought up on Classical music which I love; I also love modern classical and modern Rock/pop/etcetera.
