Write your comments here...If they improved the quality and variety of programmes I might consider it.But in fairness due to our ages we have paid over and over again to see now what we were seeing years ago so why ask us to pay again?.SG2

Write your comments here...exactly SG2 BBC have in all fairness put on a really good Documentry t v series over the years , but they are continually repeated over and over.

War & Peace, Dickensian, Largest Dinosaur in the World, Only Connect, University Challenge, Winterwatch, Masterchef ... need I add more?

Yes, the Beeb shows a lot of repeats if you're a daytime TV addict, but compared to the rubbish offerred on the commercial alternatives, I'd say they'd got a pretty good record really.

(Still wouldn't be turning down my free licence though!) Happy. Use left and right arrows to navigate.

Write your comments here...it is not law or compulsory yet   The news report which I have been following for awhile , is those that be at the BBC have been in a number of meeting's with the government putting foward this idea as they need to raise their revenue by rather a lot and government won't give them the o k to raise the TV licience, so no need to panick yet Hosta , personally I don't believe there are enough over 75s not paying the t v licience  to make up many millions of £ the beeb are expecting to raise

We watch a lot of BBC programmes, prefer them to the commercial channels. We don't have Sky we have Freeview, we would prefer to pay a subscription to BBC (rather than license) for an encoded system that we could receive when we are away.
