Can't pay, Won't pay

Did any one see last nights episode of this surprisingly good series regarding debt collectors.?

Razor Ruddock ( ex Liverpool footballer ) was pursued for a debt of £3000 for  kennel fees ( perhaps this should be in the Pets section )

3 observations:

1) How can somebody who was a trained "athlete" (OK probably stretching it a bit!) let himself go so much. He looked about 10 months pregnant.

2) How could he not afford to pay the £3000?

3) What a disgrace his wife was ( swearing whilst children around). Very classy lady
