Just read that Hannah passed away at the age of 91.  This lady farmer first came to prominence in the 1970's when featured in the Yorkshire post which was follow by a series of TV features, the best remembered was to long a winter.  Hannah came across as a serene lady despite the hardships of farming in the high Pennines with no running water or electricity.  RIP Hannah

Thanks OP, when you read her obituary in the Yorkshire Post it's still a very touching reminder of her way of life.

There's a lovely two-page article in today's Mail on Sunday about her.  Should be compulsory reading for the latest generation of 'snowflakes'
